The Friends of PC West Foundation, Inc. has been formed for the
purpose of raising funds and in-kind gifts to meet the unmet
needs of the student body and staff at our beloved alma mater.
Board of Directors
Richard (Dick) Click(70) - Co-Founder/President
Mr. Click is a 1970 graduate of Putnam City West who completed two years of military service in 1972 after which he attended Southern Nazarene University and the University of Oklahoma. He then began a 40 year career with Farmers Insurance Group and continues his insurance business as well as several other business ventures. Dick has served as a two term President of the Putnam City School Board for a total of ten years during which he was active as a coach for several little league sports teams as well as serving as a deacon at Putnam City Baptist and Village Baptist Churches. Dick married his high school sweetheart, Miss Cindy Boyd, PC West Class of 1971. Together they have two sons and four beautiful granddaughters.
Ron Hise(70) - C0-Founder/Vice-President
Mr. Hise is an Armed Forces Veteran having served in Vietnam and the U.S. Army Reserves, 95th Division. Upon returning to Oklahoma, Ron earned a B.S. degree from Oklahoma State University. Ron is an ordained minister and Certified Oklahoma Disaster Relief Chaplain. He and his wife Brenda, have been married 35 years and are the proud parents of two daughters, both educators in the Oklahoma City area.
H. Ric Hedges(70) - Co-Founder/Treasurer
Mr. Hedges is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, receiving degrees in Business and Law. He has worked as a CPA for an international CPA firm, as President of a multi-million dollar private company and as CFO for an oil and gas technology company. Ric currently has his own practice which focuses on providing accounting, tax and legal services to small businesses. He is also an instructor of undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Phoenix.
Regina Birchall(70) - Secretary
Ms. Birchall attended Oklahoma City University. A Cum Laude graduate in Percussion Performance, she is the 1986 Presser Scholar in music. Regina has travelled extensively as a musician and her company, Ritz Revues, produced cabaret theatre on Jekyll Island, Georgia. Regina has performed with the OKC Philharmonic and the Mallet Machine percussion ensemble and is a 19 year veteran music educator in the Oklahoma public school system. One of Regina's proudest moments was being chosen as PC West's first Miss Patriot. The affection and respect this recognition represents is well understood by her. And with that honor comes the call to serve. She is committed to bringing her skills and knowledge to the new generation of Patriots.
Mr. Barton is a retired employee of the State of Oklahoma.He has fond memories of West even so far as to marry a fellow Patriot, Ms. LaWanda Baker(72)! It has saddened him to see the many issues facing students and teachers today. When asked to serve on the Board, he was proud to step up to help make a difference in the lives of younger Patriots. Marion's knowledge of Bethany and Putnam City history is an invaluable tool to the Board's leadership. "He knows everybody" is not an exaggeration because if you're not related to Marion, someone you know surely is!
Mr. Cotton received his Bachelor's degree in Economics from Yale University and a Masters' of Business Administration, Accounting and Finance from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. For 14 years, David has held the position of CFO for Flying Food Group of Chicago, Illinois. He is responsible for all financing, accounting, management reporting and contracts for the company. Twice unopposed for Student Council President, David's leadership during his years at West set a tone of excellence and "can do" spirit. Among many other honors, David was chosen as PC West's first Mr. Patriot. The regard his classmates have for him cannot be overestimated. His example inspired and directed many classmates to high levels of achievement and is one reason why many consider him the quintessential Patriot.
Mary H. Scott(70)
Ms. Scott attended Oklahoma State University before embarking on a career in accounting and commercial real estate. Mary has been a commercial property manager for most of her professional life and is pleased to be associated with such landmark properties as Leadership Square in Oklahoma City and One America Center in Austin, Texas. She is currently auditing mortgage loans for a mortgage services company in Edmond, Oklahoma. Mary is married to Gerald and they are blessed to have extraordinary grandtwins.
Loret J. Holland(83)
Ms. Holland graduated from PC West in 1983. Currently she works in the CFO's office of Enable Midstream Partners', an oil and gas company in Oklahoma City. Previously, Loret worked with Express Personnel Services, Inc. for 12 years. During Lorets time at West, she held the offices of Sophomore, Junior and Senior Class Secretary, where she was passionate about planning and organizing events for classmates. Loret has been active in planning several class reunions over the years, and finds her work with the Friends of PC West Foundation helps her to continue her service to her alma mater. Loret will tell you though, her greatest accomplishment is her daughter, Katie.
